Local Bookshops

Didsbury Village Bookshop

Inside The Art of Tea, 47 Barlow Moor Rd, Manchester M20 6TW, UK – 0161 438 0211

Big secondhand bookshop with huge stock piled up to the ceiling. I could spend days browsing in here, and I have to resist the temptation to come out with a wheelbarrow full of books. A very cosy and friendly cafe is attached and serves great sandwiches and coffee.

Sharston Books

15, Wearlee Works, Longley Ln, Wythenshawe, Manchester M22 4WT, UK – 0161 945 8604

Nice place for some books. Bus number 43 gets you there.

This is a little gem of a second hand book shop. Very unassuming entrance and outside appearance, but inside it's a marvelous rabbit-warren of second hand books. It's very cheap, too! The books are categorised well, and alphebatised by author in each section. I'll certainly be back anytime I'm after my next book to read.

E J Morten Booksellers

6 Warburton St, Didsbury, Manchester M20 6WA, UK – 0161 445 7629

This is a fantastic little shop with a great variety of both old and new books plus lots of signed copies. I had simply wandered in for a look around but the quality of customer service meant me and my girlfriend ended up walking out with one book each!

Always helpful and reliable. Orders in books for me. Without fault.
