Cyclestreets.net is a brilliant little website for bicyclists. Just enter where you are and where you want to go and it will take you a proper cyclists route, tell you the distance, how quiet or otherwiseit will be and how many calories you will burn completing it.
This is extraordinary. You can actually choose a route to avoid unnecessary hills. Excellent for the part-time cyclist!

Bicycle Shops or Bicycle Accessories Outlets or Cycle Repairers

Ken Foster`s Cycle Logic

374 Barlow Moor Rd, Manchester M21 8AZ, UK – 0161 881 7160

Everyone is super-friendly, super-helpful!! Came in with a busted tyre, they made me a coffee and fitted the tire in 20 minutes. I've stopped in for tools and maps, and they've been so kind--explaining everything to me, and making sure everything is sorted. They are so great, I cycle over a few miles out of my way in order to go to their shop.

Great shop These guys service Our tandem used for charity events and we always get good job, reasonable price and great customer service. They've recently upgraded the gears to bigger cog and once again great job done.

Bicycle Doctor

68-70 Dickenson Rd, Manchester M14 5HF, UK – 0161 224 1303

Good customer service and affordable prices on bike repairs. Only downside is most the bikes they stock for sale are expensive .

Great staff and really helpful to students. I have had some problems with my bike and they have been very friendly and down to earth. Their knowledge of bicycles is also very high. I would highly recommend students within the area and other people looking for bicycle queries to get in touch with Bicycle Doctor!

Lane End Cycles

5 Lane End Rd, Manchester M19 1WA, UK – 0161 431 0777

Tony is knowledgeable and good at what he does. He offered great and honest advice on my bike, which had been gathering dust in my shed for 10 years. It needed quite a bit of work doing, which he did in under 24 hours, and had it running like brand new. All for a fair price and not a kings ransom!

After an attempted burglary I thought my bike would be a right off as lots of damage to the wheel and possibly the frame but Tony fixed it within a couple of hours. Initially quoting me £90 but then only charging me £60 as he said he managed to fix one the problems himself rather than needing a replacement part. And he serviced the brakes for me. Efficient, honest service. Will definitely recommend.

Cycle Hire

Platt Fields Bike Hub

Manchester M14 6LA, UK – 07866 289859

Fantastic! Very friendly and helpful, teaching you how to do your own repairs for the future. They charged 70% less for the parts I needed (gear cable) than my local bike shop. A strong recommendation from me

I always go there. Friendly, Helpful, and no extra. ❤️

A6 Cycle Warehouse

754-758 Stockport Rd, Manchester M12 4GD, UK – 0161 248 5400

My reviews are normally either hatchet jobs or five stars, but unusually I give this chap a three here. 1) His servicing is spot on, he does a good job, evidence to show he's took the bike apart... 2) It's a little overpriced - 20-40% over the competitors. Wish I was on that much an hour :o)

Very nice place to buy new cycles and the relevant equipment for your cycles

Northwest Mountain Bike Centre

Cheadle, Manchester SK8 2BS, UK – 0161 428 3311

I walked in one afternoon to get my bikes forks and headset checked out and to buy some brake fluid and grips. There were a couple of problems that could have been a major hastle or cost for me, but these guys went the extra mile to fix it within my slim budget there and then for a reasonable price. Great shop! Loads of stuff all fit into what could be considered a reasonably small space. Great service and great range of products. Highly recommend a visit here!

Brilliant service, expert advice and they have saved me money by replacing parts of a component or fixing when I would have brought new.
